You will make your way down the waterfalls, with professional guides beside you every step of the way. The action never stops, as you hike, slide, swim, and rappel your way down the falls, and all without any experience required.
A Brief Explanation of Canyoning
Simply put, canyoning involves navigating your way through a canyon uses various adventure techniques. In this particular canyon you will weave your way through thundering waterfalls. There will be areas where you will have to rope up to navigate the rugged landscape. Other area will test your hiking and swimming skills.
Before you tackle the main canyon you will get to try your hand at tying knots, rapelling, and working with a harness on the practice slope. Your guide will work with you to ensure that you learn the basics before you try your first rappel. It’s a thrilling 15 meter drop to the river that sits below. The surrounding area is stunning, with a beautiful waterfall as the backdrop. Once you leave the practice area behind and head deeper into the canyon, you will arrive at a natural water slide. This is where you get to have a little bit of fun before moving on to the next part of your journey.
You will be led along a gently undulating trail, with the jungle ever present along the hills that sit alongside the path. This route runs parallel to the river, but you will have to descend to its banks to continue moving forward.
Food & Water – You will be provided with purified drinking water and a snack. Please give 24 hours’ notice if you have special dietary needs.
What to Pack – Sunscreen and repellent are a must, as are a hat, swimming attire, a camera, and water shoes/sports sandals.
What is provided – A professionally trained guide who speaks English, all essential permits, snack and drinking water, first aid kit, transportation, and top of the line rapelling equipment. All of our equipment is available for inspection, and you can rest assured that it meets or exceeds the highest safety standards.
What is NOT Provided – We recommend that you come with personal major medical insurance that includes evacuation coverage, as it is NOT provided.
